Monday, Monday
I take this sunrise as a good omen of things to come.
So it's Monday. And yours truly is starting her job today! I will be working with credit card terminals and business owners. I had a good experience with it last time, and *this* marks the first time that I will be working directly for the company, and not as a temp or outsourced agent. It's highly exciting stuff, and I can't wait to get started!
Despite the way some people feel, I think that the economy is starting to look a little up again. I see how homeowners look at their low mortgage with satisfaction, and their little house with pride. And I see that waiting on God to show me what to do eventually paid off. I was unemployed off and on for 9 months, with the exception of that one temping nightmare, in which I was poorly trained, physically harassed, and then ignored.
It comes as no surprise to me, then, that the temp agency would ask me to come back late last week. -.- I was kind enough to inform them that I had moved on, had already started a new and promising relationship, and that I had no intention of ever seeing them again. It's not you, temp agency, it's me. No, wait. Yeah, it is you.
On a spiralling different topic, my cat nearly lost it when I stayed at my friend Claires house, for one night, and spent
Most of yesterday draped all over me to say pointedly that it should not happen again. And now I'm working. Poor guy. Thinking of getting him a companion so he won't be so lonely, but I dunno...
Alright. I'm gonna get ready and check my web comics--ooooh, btw, I started reading this web comic called red thread, and it is AWESOME. The artist/story teller Gina Biggs is brilliant, and I love the storyline. It made me cry, and that's an accomplishment.
Alas, I have much to do. So I'm gonna bounce. Peace.

Still on the Fritz
My iPhone is still not holding it's pictures, even after restarts and etc. My next step is to take it into ATT tonight and see what they have to say. Seriously, I've only had this phone for 6 months, and it's being wonky already. -.-
In other news, I start my new job tomorrow, and I'm still geekin out about it.
That's about all for the moment. Except a thought about writing:
I love to write. And I love comics. I wish I could do both, but I am HORRIBLE at drawing. SO, my next step is to try to follow what comes naturally to me, and to write. Maybe some articles, some short stories, some novels. Who knows? I just know that it's getting frustrating to feel like something inside me is ready to do something great, and I'm stumped as to what that thing is. I want to be great at something-stand out. I can't handle this blending in and pining away.
We'll see where that thread takes me.

Stupid iPhone
I have to do some work to my iPhone. It's currently not saving any pictures I take, which is highly disconcerting. I need to do it soon, too, since I have a Faire coming up. I even got a dress for the occasion!
In any case, maybe today.
Alright I'm gonna lay in bed and contemplate life. Peace.

Oh alright. Now Peace.

What?! No PICTURES?
You'll handle it. I like this blog a lot. Almost toooo much, one might say. So that's why I've decided to trust it with personal thoughts. Granted, being this *is* the Internet and people do know how to copy and paste, I've always been one to keep my issues to myself, and use this as a positive outlook. I intend to keep it that way. I just felt like typing.
First off, I've decided to start a web comic. I know, right? How many people actually start a web comic? Perhaps a million, maybe more. If your a nerd, and you see other nerds out there that made it good with a web comic, you think you can. And I have major doubts about it, honestly. It's just like this: I have tons of funny random jokes. I'm not that great a crowds, I don't have the literary prowess to write a novel at the age of 22, and I need a creative outlet. The problem with this, however, is my blatant inability to draw. Period. Horrible drawer is I.
I've told a few people that I want to start a web comic, which in turn has inspired all of *them* to start a web comic. I think this is part of the problem. But to say the least, I hope it works out for them. I know of two people, Greg and Matthew, that I know will succeed in their endeavors, but a comic is a hard thing to do!
Secondly, I have a confession. I have started a diet. It's the first one I've ever been on, but I really think it's about time. I can't stand looking at all those dreaded family pics with my sisters all skinny and slender and me chubby and baggily clothed. So I went to http://www.sparkpeople.net and set up my subscription (which is free) and started counting calories, and drinking water, and it's all been very helpful-(although I find the groups something of a joke-I got an email saying "join our 'secret' club because our leader is awesome and only wants certain people to join us...yeah....no thanks...I'll stick with clubs a little more open) but I've yet to lose weight. My best friend Trina is also doing the same program-we started the same week. She's lost 11 freaking pounds. I've gained 1/2 a pound. I stocked my fridge with fruits and vegetables and started portion control. I started trying to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. I had to pee like a race horse, and was traumatised with how small my bathroom is beginning to feel. And my cat thinks I'm crazy. But I found out Trina's secret. She just got a new job that requires moving all day, AND she's doing wii fit. I don't have a wii, nor can I afford one because I don't have a freaking JOB. And OH do I need one. Badly. T.T
I've applied at several locations-and I haven't been hired at all. My expertise is heavy on the call center, and light on the anything else. The last job I had was at a place called Cosco-I quit that one because the manager was PSYCHO, (all caps, seriously) and PUSHED me because I was asking someone a question *away* from my desk. Lol, but that job wasn't for me anyways-I like people that are friendly with their employees. Some of the workers are hoping (dead serious) that she'll die in a motorcycle accident soon so they can take her job, because they see no other way to get past her.
Ah, the reminiscing. It's just been a good day, I guess. Brian came home, we drove around and joked and laughed, and then went and had some amazing Gumbo, and then drove home and hung out in a thunderstorm. And laughed. And joked.
I love that man.
*sigh*
I still want a puppy though. <.<

Waiting
Expect a bunch of posts this week, peeps, I am seriously stressed about my latest interview as I actually *want* to work there, and they gave me a 7 day window. *gah* So we'll see how my sanity is by the end of this.
I figured I ought to go back through and post some of my favorite pics from various little adventures in life: Explained below.
Also, went to the possible In-laws this weekend-it went pretty well-except when his father nearly killed us with bottle rockets. That kinda did not go awesome.
Here goes
This particular beauty came from Brian's Aunts house. The contrast of the colors and the rustic ease of it all inspired me to snap a shot-which inspired Brian in turn to roll his eyes and guffaw loudly. In his defense, I'd just spent ten minutes trying to get that perfect shot of an obese, sleeping Golden Retriever.
Imagine, if you will: Hot, steamy rice, smothered in a warm, coconut milk. Topped with cool, perfectly ripe mango slices, more coconut milk, and sesame seeds. Now, imagine a girl with an obsession with prawns....and your best friend. Life isn't much better than that, eh? Not to mention, the food was epic. And before you ask about the girl with the obsession, she has been duly named Prawns.
This fantastically bleached skull was found in an Autumn-like gazebo, at a cabin overlooking Loon Lake at Inchelium, Washington. Beautiful town, friendly people, awesome skulls.
Tune in for more epicness wrapped in win this week. ^.^ And for my Radar peeps, make sure you submit your favorite photo for the Radar Wall of Epic Contest of Epic of Doom.

Flawed Artist
Today I got a post from my good friend Morgan, about sone changes occuring in her life. It's funny-I never expected to become good friends via an iPhone app...but I've made many. Morgan is one of the biggest, though. So, tonight, my blog pics are in the tune of a flawed, geek-tastic nerdfighter named Morgan. May you find that awesome new job quickly!

I always meant to put that up. You are The Sherwood, Mirgan. Lol.

Not my pic, but also inspired to share with flawedartist, aka Morgan.

The confidence I gained for being a gamer chick-it all came from you! <3

WoW and spectacled Stitch-teh tribute for teh Morgan. Love you Morgan! Oh, and #nerdfighter ftw.
