Saturdays are my love

I woke up earlier than one should on a Saturday, thanks to an angry, hungry, inconsiderate cat that hates me. I really want a puppy. In other news, I went down to Coeur d Alene park after visiting family-and it was a day of surprises!





Apparently Brian felt the need to point...I never noticed that until I put this in. Hm. Anyways, this is the Coeur d Alene Resort. Very nice hotel with a rotating restaurant and a huge boardwalk and a floating golf course. Retirement heaven, and NIC makes it a college haven. Also where I spent most of my life.



A leaf I found floating aimlessly-I thought it might look poetic ^.^ Brian never walked through here, so it was hard for me to be enthusiastic about the "mountains!" and "ducks" and the "flaming boat!!"....wait, flaming boat?!





Ah, well, that I was quite impressed with. Loved the custom airbrushing on this- True Fire has always had my interest. The stairs to get down to it were all but a death trap though, so I was skiddish about even being allowed in the area! We clicked some pics and scrammed, didn't want to get yelled at...



Rainbow paddleboats-very awesome picture, one of my favorites, in fact, hehe, but it reminds me that we walked past people going in a gay cruise. I can tell you now, B and I got some severely hostile stares from people. I don't know why. It's like they blamed me for them being gay or something. I never judged them. I just wanted to walk the boardwalk and pass go, collect 200.00...






Finally, in a shameless plug of wealthy childrens books writers, a statue of a moose and a mouse, from, you guessed it, a childrens book. The statue was cute, and I wanted to get another shot, but then this couple *as I'm taking this picture* start to haul their child over to sit on the statue. Then they stood there, took some pictures, and the leaned on the moose and talked for a good 20 minutes. Forget that noise, I got better things to do. -.- but in the future, please be considerate of the statues: they aren't benches, nor is it polite to hog sculptures so no one can take pictures, geez.

Sorry I'm Not Consistent

At Manito Park, the Japanese Gardens opened up, FINALLY. I've been waiting all year for this place to open-unsurprisingly, its a very comforting place. Plus, there are tons of Koi. On a hilarious side note: Last batch of Koi had herpes, because a couple released their goldfish into the pond or something. They had to be put down. ^.^

On my way out from a friends house, I really liked how cool this picture looked. I don't usually take pictures of sunsets-its' kind of something I see all the time, and I would rather take a picture of it with a Rebel. ^.^

*want* I want this puppy-but he was rediculously overpriced, and Brian is ANTI-puppy, unfortunately. Little does he know, (well, he knows...I mean....I told him) But the moment we are able to, I am getting a dog. It's happening.

My best friend Katrina after her glorious hair was loved to bits and pieces by a very good stylist. I love this picture of her, because she looks so serene. ^.^ She's training as a veterinarians assistant.

Hey, on a side note, if you're reading this and have a camera phone, check out radar.net. Its the happening place for camera phones-IDEAL for iPhones, (there's a free app) and an awesome way to network with other people. I love Radar. Seriously love it.

Palouse Falls/Inchelium

In Inchelium, part of the Nez Perce Reservation. This is from B's family's resort. I took this picture the last day while we were up there. This is mating grounds for bald eagles, and Loons! :) My favorite part of this picture: A) the reflection of the clouds on the water.
B) The feeling of relief and regret because we were leaving. His family is *very* enjoyable, and the feeling of getting away is addictive.







This was taken on the way OUT of Palouse Falls-We were out in Farming Country, and I HAD to take this picture. I was reminded of Windows Vista! but it's not. It's Stephanie Vista.











This is a front view of Palouse Falls. I have very good memories of this place: I walked with my Sensei and my mentors to that waterfall, and learned the meaning of tact, growing up, and thinking for myself. I learned the importance of friends, made mistakes, thought about love, dreamed about heaven. This place has always had memories, and continues to be a great place for me to go, and just let go. At this place, I feel forgiven. More forgiven than anywhere else. Here, I can let go.






Palouse Falls from the front, near the basin. Can you imagine the beauty? I'm going back in a few weeks, hopefully I can hike to the falls this time.

Crucial Cos-Play

In light on the recent conversation I had with a friend about the hotness of twileks, I decided that it was crucial for me to find goooood cosplay pictures. Lo and behold, B had this one from when he was at C4 in LA, last year. Yes, breathe it in, gentlemen and ladies. HOTNESS UNLEASHED. My favorite part of this picture: Not only hearing first hand accounts about how sweet this girl is from B, but then going online and hearing from several other sources that this girl is rediculously sweet. I think this is Summer-Summer, if you see this, correct me if I got your name wrong. Also-Kudos for the costume. XD








I couldn't NOT put this up: As I said before, I was looking up Cosplay stuff, and found *this* and Trina, my best friend and MS playing confidante, is OBSESSED with Hello Kitty. A stumble and a text later, lets hope she got some epic laughs out of this. My favorite thing about this picture: WHERE TO BEGIN? Lets start with the model. I bet she's wondering if her career just died painfully, or in it's sleep? And I want to meet the designer, shake their hand, and then slap them across the face. Some people just don't get fashion. tsk, tsk. I bet the person who created this threw up after drinking a lot of alcohol, and said: "My vomit looks like hello kitty....waaaaaaiiiiit a minuuuuuuttteeeee......" FAIL.










AUGH!!! *ahem* Sorry, thats just the way I react whenever I see the HIDEOUSNESS OF THIS PICTURE. It's totally creepy. The poor woman looks like a vampire gone horrible south, OR a creepy porcelian doll. Also, I want to know how many car seats were dismantled for the making of that coat. Seriously. NO. SERIOUSLY. "How much do clothes cost in the Matrix?"














I would totally wear it. If for no other reason than to walk into work in the middle of winter, and say, "MAN, I had to wear a *turtleneck* to work, it was so cold." AWESOME, WRAPPED IN WIN.

As a personal side note, I got a Chevy Cobalt today, pictures will be up. But thats not what I'm most excited about. I got a picture of a mannequin in a scooter at a medical supplies store. I am *psyched* to share it.

Ma NA Nuh NAH!

*Ahem* OH, if I could caption this, I would so say "Spaghetti-Monsterism 'Touched By His Noodly Appendage.'" A lot of my favorite shots are from this green house-the vibrant colors and the smells were just...AWESOME. But most of all I remember making B hold that pose for like....5 minutes. I kept faking that there were problems *just* so he would stay like that. I don't think he knew that until just now. Eh....heh.....sorry B.

I believe this is called a banana cactus-but I still think it's a Spaghetti Monster. I didn't even notice this thing until I was standing, like, underneath it. I liked the cool colors that brought out the cactus more, but mostly, I liked how the natural light hit every bit of it, bringing out each little....arm?.....appendage?.....thing.

SQUIRREL! I LOOOOOVE Squirrels. This particular squirrel is particularly obese AND tame. He let me get rediculously close to him, and then climbed, upside-down, up the tree. My favorite part of this? the memory of nearly peeing myself. He looked right at me and then flew towards me-I squeaked loudly, to be sure. Poor B almost had a heart attack. XD It was kinda cold out that day, but the snow was super crunchy, so I stayed off of it.

These viney/cact-arms are so AWESOME to look at! At first glance, it seems like it's braided-in reality, it's a cactus, and it's tons of little buds. I don't know the name of this plant, (surprise, surprise) but this is one of my favorite pictures because of the angle. I remember that this particular plant caught my attention almost immediately. I had to touch it, and look underneath it, and squint at it, and then I decided it *had* to be photographed. *had* to. Favorite thing about this shot? The natural light, of course! I love the way the sun hits the planty-goodness. Ah, Sun. How EPIC, you are.

I *love* this shot, and I've saved it for last because it was a hidden gem in a hidden folder that I stumbled upon (in my desktop

.....oh nevermind) Where to begin? FIRST OFF, it took some looking to get this shot. I passed this patch of flowers probably 5 or 6 times, easily, and then the sun kinda slipped past it to touch some dark red flowers right below it-and then I saw them. I immediately knew my shot-it's almost like that greenhouse felt me coming. The ivy grew all around that area, but not on that one spot. it gave me the perfect view-and I wanted to capture both the white flowers, AND those gorgeous pink hyacinths (GASP-I knew that one....no, I didn't, B muttered it as he went by) were so soft and demure in the background, they *begged* a picture to be snapped in their honor.

*Yawn* thats, about all.

Colville, Flowers, and Scenery

Good morning! XD I uploaded a few of my favorite pictures from traveling, and even one from being home. 

This particular one is from home, actually. It started hailing, thundering, raining, snowing, and then the sun started to set-all within about a 5 minute window of time. One of the sayings here in Eastern Washington/North Idaho is: "If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes." It was incredibly true. So, this incorporates most of those elements-except that what you see on the ground here isn't snow-it's all hail. Pea sized, for the most part.

This was taken on the way back from Colville-I believe it was last month. I looove taking pictures of this mountain, especially during storms. In fact, you might say I have a think for storms in general. It feels cleansing, (I guess it kinda is) but I like to look at it as giving the world a fresh start. I like fresh starts.

THIS was taken directly after a snowstorm at B's parents house in Colville. Those lucky ducks have access to some FINE scenery, and I can't resist snapping a ton of pictures. I like the clouds-and I like how clearly they came out! I also like how fresh and clear the whole look was.

This bloomed right after we got into town-again, I can't remember the name of it-but if you know the names of any of the flowers, lemme know. I'll update my posts, *and* give you proper credit for them. Everyone tells me what they are, but I just don't have patience to commit things to memory. In any case, I *love* the brilliant warm orange of this flower, and the blue center. I remember just thinking, "man, God, you really go all out on these things! It's just a flower, and yet, it has the ability to capture the attention and admiration of anyone that sees it!" God really has an awesome imagination!
